This is a writing community for a group of friends, thunk up by moi
brennye and
zhai to help with reaching goals that we set for ourselves concerning writing. Face it, life is hectic. If we don't take a bit of time out of the schedule to write, it doesn't get written. And that's what this community is for, to remind us, and you, if you join, to take that thirty minutes or whatever to write. Interested? Hit the join button! A post a day is highly encouraged, but if you don't post a day, it's your muse who loses out for lack of exercise.
This is now a moderated community. Please contact either
brennye or
zhai to join.
A quick few rules.
1. Constructive critisism is allowed. Please put egos aside and realize that the person is not attacking you, they are pointing out parts of what you post that they see could be improved. You have the final sayso on what goes into the story, after all.
2. Post! That is the whole reason for the community, is it not? Post a little, post a lot, but post!
3. LJ cut commands are recommended for longer pieces. Instructions on how are in the LJ FAQ.
4. Plagarism, of course, is out. Erin and I have a history of working together on stuff, so co-writing is in. If you want to. :)
5. Have fun, for goodness sakes! If you don't have fun with the writing, it shows and your reader might not have fun with the reading! Unless, of course, you're doing a political bit on a (edit: bleep) er.. political figure, ranting is understood. But humor does go a long way folks. :)
6. We now require that all posts be locked to the friends category. Thanks.
